Four Generation Gathering

Abigail and Nate's blog contains more comprehensive documentation, including a great four-generation picture, but here a few photos from a great extended family gathering in DC with Walter's cousins, aunt/uncle, grandparents, and great-grandparents. (Unfortunately there was a stomach bug going around, which motivated compulsive purell use and less cousin-tickle-tackling than our last visit. We seem to have escaped unscathed.)

Grandma picking up W. (note the blossoming tree!)
W. and Abby soaking up some sun and having a good time on the slide.

Nate is growing fast, and is generous with his grunts of approval for the world. Won't be long before he and Walter are essentially the same age.
A very special post-bath bedtime reading session with great-grandma DeeDee.

Music Class

This spring we did a weekly music class.
W. on the move.
Singing.
Hey Hey, what do you say, let's all click our sticks today.

Parachute time was always a hit.
A chance to strum the guitar.

Birthday Hammock

Anna's birthday present was a hammock in the back yard. We've had a few days so far warm enough to put it to use (on one such day we met some of the neighborhood chickens down the street).

Ribs for birthday dinner.

Anna and Walter playing the back yard.

Outings

We found a nicely named street near our go-to outing destination, the Elk Creek Cafe in Millheim.

A walk in Lederer Park.
