First Birthday!

Last weekend we celebrated Walter's first birthday!

He meticulously avoided cake (or threw it on the ground) and devoured the berries.

Earlier in the day we took a hike up Mt. Nittany.

The view back towards town/campus (towards the left). Walter slept while we were moving and was not so happy to be awake when we stopped for views.

Back on the 4th was Dan's 30'th birthday. Pasta dinner to celebrate.

Just after moving, a flurry of travel. On both ends of a trip to San Francisco for a big conference, we got to visit cousin Abigail and finally get to meet cousin Nate.

First Day

Walter's first day of "school".

He seems to be making friends and adjusting well to the new lifestyle.

Black Friday

Oh no, no washer/dryer.

Black Friday . . . Walter squaking at 3am . . . why not just get up and join the 'Black Friday' mayhem.

Only 4 washer/dryers at the doorbuster price. Waited in the wrong line for a while.

Then I found the side door where they hand out the tickets for the appliances.

And score! got-a-deal.

New Home

We've started a new chapter in State College, PA!

We are very happy with our house with its charm and close proximity to downtown and campus.

Walter is enjoying his new kitchen.

We made some fresh mozzarella in the real kitchen with milk from Meyer Dairy.
