working ski vacation

Here are some pictures from our trip to Itasca. There was still plenty of snow, but it was disappearing rapidly with balmy 50 degree days. We took an evening ski to the headwaters of the Mississippi. We learned that the headwaters were actually moved in the 30's as part of a CCC project. It probably is more scenic to have the Mighty Miss start as some bubbling rapids rather than as a marsh.
